So what's up with those paper bags anyways?

The country is literally screwed, so why would I worry about the environment if I had no future? With morons in government that can't manage oil revenues to accommodate basic civic needs "housing/healthcare/education" or proper utilities, why would I worry about the environment? I'm beyond worry now; actually I'm in a new stage, numb, how else would I feel to survive.

Maybe someone just finished polishing their fingernails, and then decided, o'what do we do today? what do we do? Let's worry about the environment! They got all excited, so they started a campaign. How about that?

Before asking the public to engage in saving the environment, ask yourself a question, does the country have a future?

It’s a good idea. unfortunately it's in the wrong century for the wrong people.

all i am thinking of "Kuwaiti selfish" !

dude its not only for you it is for all the ppl in ur country.
its not for your country only, its for the whole world.

if the future to you is screwed .. then trying to save the environment is a way to make the stupid ppl think straight and fix something about our future.

yeah migrating .. is the only thought :/

Its not just about Kuwait.

The damaged environment is a global epidemic, and thats why everyone should take part in helping it.

I'm currently at the same stage as you are in right now, numb and feel everything is hopeless... However, I try to do my part towards Mother Earth :P

Funny thing is, the plastic/paper thing lasted a week in my co-op. I just got back from there and only plastic was available! Ya3ni sij e7na sha3b bohaba. Here one day with full force then gone the next.

ilmoshkilla mo ina they're trying to make a change. it's HOW they do it. Nafs il shay with tarsheed, ya3ni they put it into action oo only for a short period of time without really education and informing people about what and why they're doing it, the consequences, and other things that might contribute (e.g recycling to saving the environment)

Another ironic part, a few years ago they had those recycling bins in the co-op, a year later they took them out, and now paper bags are in with no recycle bin! :P

Welcome to K-town baby! ;P

Pardon me but, &^%$ you and the environment!!

thats it, they're not trying to make a change nor saving the environment. In this case, paper bags issue, it seems like straight PR bullshit propaganda.

there is hope for this country..

right now we are in the state of chaos in every aspect from estejwabat 3al fathee.. lay salfat iltajnees ilee doesnt make any sense..

once we deal with these very aspects and emerge stronger we will have hope and we might start focusing on developing this country..

OR we end up dealing with crap for a while, realize we're outta oil or the world has found an alternative fuel, and we got no contingency plan.. then we're screwed..

for now i will go back to painting my toenails or focus on my everlasting dilemma of analyzing financial statements while i dream of a better kuwait
