Our people are messed up. Let's say the government does what they want. Debts be dropped, what's next? They won't stop demanding more and more. Ignorant people don't know the aftermath of all that.
coolfreak They are. I can frankly empathize modestly with some of the opposite arguments when they look at the government’s practices for foreign aid. They pay foreign governments millions, ridiculously, help fund schools, projects for other courtiers while overlooking the local needs.

I say that the government instead takes the money and assists some of the poor families living in Kuwait - maybe even some of the divorced mothers trying to raise their children while their deadbeat dads accumulate debts that they want the government to drop. Maybe building proper housing for bedoon in Sulaibiya or providing clothing for poor workers during these cold months (like Operation Hope is doing). Or maybe assisting in defense funds for some of the maids who have either been raped or tortured trying to make a living in Kuwait. I drove by the Parliament building (as I do every day) on the days of the debates: The visitors parking lots were full of Mercedes and BMW's. Those poooooor debtors!
Well, 3indokom oo 3indina khair. I wish I had our MPs boxing match video to post it! Altho I hear ya.. We are new to democracy so we can expect to have retarded MPs but I should think your people ideally would have learned in 30 years of practice-- luv your blog btw.
sultana Yes it was rejected. 20 votes in support, it wasn’t enough to pass a bill!! even if it passed, will be voided by the constitutional court!!
desert girl The government is incapable of executing any task effectively!! Who are we kidding; they would probably steal the money. BTW we have a complete ministry for social affairs, what are they doing every morning? It’s better if they built houses for Kuwaitis, we have a 15 years holdup.
lulu from ba7rain Welcome to my blog!! those are not our people they have been imposed upon. So we have to deal with them now!!
I like the "impose 3alaina" phrase :) Look, we have around 5000 people imposed 3alaina per year (tajnees).. I may need to immigrate soon if the island drowns.
