Setting your GPRS for your Sony-Ericsson

Given the shitty customer service you get from both MTC and you local authorized dealer here is a brief guide to help you set your GPRS connection.

Instruction applies for Sony-Ericsson W800i W810i K750i and probably others. also intended for MTC Kuwait postpaid customers.

Go to Main menu>Setting>Connectivity>Data comm.>Data accounts

Now create a new account select GPRS data and call it GPRS .

Continue

APN: apn01

Username:

Password:

Save

All you have to do is enter the Access Point Name apn01 and leave the usersname and password blank. leave everthing else AS IS.

NOTE: if you’re trying to connect from you laptop thru your mobile, make sure you mention the correct APN from the list. If you get a 734, 718 or 720 errors most likely you did not define the correct APN path for your dialup connection.

Welcome to my space cyberrowdy! It’s a humble attempt to solve a problem I myself have faced where as the maintenance staff magnifies the problem and would make it sound impossible to solve over the phone and noooo, “za mobile haz to be connected to za worki shob combiyoutar” to be programmed! and thats just plain egyptian bullshit!
